“Does not pair – at least not for me” 2010-04-22
By Claudia Brandt
Should have listened to the negative reviewers. Guess if you’re lucky enough to have one of the devices that will actually pair with this gadget, then it might work well. I wouldn’t know, my Plantronics Voyager did not, but since the manufacturer is out of business, I cannot look up a current list of compatible devices nor update the firmware. The manual is acceptable, not great. Like another – positive – reviewer said, the adapter is bulky, bulkier than I would like in my pocket. Not that any of this matters, since I cannot get mine to pair and will therefore have to write it off as a failed experiment. Back to the wired mess.

 “great bluetooth adapter!” 2010-02-18
By Cerissa Jordan
I have had this bluetooth adapter for about 3 years and have been very satisfied with it overall. I originally bought it for an iPod nano (that has since broken) and was happy that it comes with various clips to hold different sized ipods. I replaced the nano with a 1G iPod touch and once again, the adjustable clips fit it perfectly. The only thing that I don’t like about it is it’s bulkiness. I usually use my iPod while working out and it is somewhat difficult to find an armband that will accommodate such a large piece of equipment. Other than that, the performance has been stellar! Highly recommended!

 “Garbage” 2010-02-17
By D. Rosenthal
Not only was this cheaply made but it didn’t work and more importantly it was designed poorly for being used while moving. The company who makes it has gone defunct so there is no support

 “good missing piece” 2010-01-27
By Sonia A. Lepe (New Jersey)
The purchaser was amazing; the original product i got was missing a piece and they were kind enough to send me another one free of additional charges. Unfortunately, that one was also missing the crucial piece I needed, so I’m not even sure if the darn thing works. But 5 stars for the person I bought this from!

“NaviPlay with S805 Tuneups on Giro Helmet using IPhone 3GS” 2010-01-25
By T. Deitrick (Utah)
I purchased a new Giro Omen helmet with Motorola S805 Tuneups. I tried it with my IPhone 3GS and found that I could listen to my music, and take a call. But I couldn’t switch songs. I looked up my Motorola on the Internet and found the directions showed using a naviPlay device. I found one for about $11.00 shipped on Ebay and just got it. I did get an advantage reading everyone’s blogs on how to pair the naviPlay correctly, but it really wasn’t difficult. I didn’t know why I got the naviPlay so cheap. Now I understand why. The manufacturer supposedly went out of business. The product is made quite nicely. It works just fine with my IPhone Bluetoothed to my helmet and the naviPlay bluetoothed to the helmet! Completely functional.

The only problem I had was trying to get my Ipod Touch to work. It made a hissing noise that kept getting louder to the point I thought something might blow up. So I kept shutting it down. I could not get the Touch to work. But with an IPhone, that’s a better deal anyway.

naviPlay is a great answer to what Apple chose not to do and Blackberry did. The helmet worked excellent without the naviPlay when linked to my old Blackberry Bold my son now has. Every function of the headphones worked perfectly with the Blackberry because they answered the 3 types of Bluetooth signals that Apple didn’t. I hope Apple gets it together and I mean with an update, not a new IPhone you have to buy. All in all…I really am glad the naviPlay exists!
